Welcome to Memphis, A Great Southern City:
I invite you to use our Quick Search feature to help you zero in on homes that interest you, or use our Home Search button that provides even more information and can aid you in narrowing your search.
Much can be determined from these MLS searches but even more information can be provided by a qualified real estate advisor familiar with the area. Memphis is more that a city limits sign, Memphis is a combination of its many and varied neighborhoods such as Downtown, Midtown and East Memphis, as well as the bedroom communities of Arlington, Bartlett, Cordova, Germantown, Collierville, and Lakeland. It is also the people and lifestyles in the outlying areas that include; Eads, Piperton, the counties of Fayette, Lauderdale, Tipton and even Olive Branch in Mississippi and West Memphis, Arkansas.
My staff and I are all lifelong Memphians. Because of our involvement in the culture of Memphis and the surrounding area, we will be able to help guide you through the home buying or selling process, not only in Memphis but Germantown, Collierville, and all of our other bedroom communities. Please allow me to show you why people from all walks of life find the Memphis area not only an exciting and vibrant lifestyle, but also a warm and friendly place to raise a family.
Memphis is a city with heart and soul that is manifested in the people, the places, the culture, the food and its history. Memphis consists of over 1 million people in the greater metropolitan area with approximately 670,000 people in the Memphis City limits. It’s the home of Rock and Roll and the birthplace of the Blues. Memphis enjoys a long history of music that includes Stax Records and legendary Sun Studios, countless musicians have walked these streets from W.C. Handy, the father of the Blues, to BB King, the Blues legend, from rocking Jerry Lee Lewis to Elvis, “the King of Rock and Roll”.
There are many aspects of this grand town besides music and our world famous Beale-Street. You can enjoy NBA basketball with the Grizzlies at the FedEx Forum, tour our art galleries such as, The Dixon Gallery and Gardens and the Brooks Museum of Art or visit the Memphis Zoo, one of the finest zoos in America. Enjoy many of the cities beautiful parks including: Memphis Botanic Gardens and Overton Park with the Levitt Shell. Take the family to the Pink Palace Museum, The Children’s Museum, The Sharpe Planetarium and walk the River front and Mud Island park as you watch the mighty Mississippi go rolling by.
And don’t forget our food, world famous Barbeque and some of the finest dining in the Mid South. We have it all, Rendezvous’ Barbeque, Blue Fin Sushi, steaks at Folks Folly, globally inspired Erling Jensen’s, or just good ole home cooking at the Cupboard.
Entrepreneurship and an aggressive business climate allow Memphis to be home for companies like Fed Ex, Auto Zone, International Paper, Service Master, St Jude Children’s Hospital and Ducks Unlimited.
Named one of the 5 top places in the US to retire; Memphis has sunshine about 64% of the time with more sunny day annually than Miami. With four full seasons and an average annual temperature of 62 F., our falls and springs are endless and our summers may get warm with a July average of 82 F, but winters are mild with a January average of 40 F.
Memphis consists of many different neighborhoods and lifestyles as varied as our entertainment, dining, and employers.
